Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwolu-Olu has ordered that churches and mosques are to reopen from the 7th of August 2020.
He made this known during his weekly press briefing on Covid-19 today.
While mosques will be reopened next week Friday, the governor said churches will follow suit on Sunday, August 9th, and they are to operate 50% of their capacity.
According to him, religious leaders must make available hand sanitisers, handheld thermometer checks, adding that the state government will ensure that social distancing is maintained.
Moreover, he has increased the number in a gathering from 20 to 50 people at a time.
