Fiorentina F.C. has announced the appointment of Gennaro Gattusa as their new manager, exactly two days after he was sacked at Napoli.
Napoli sacked the former Italian football star after his final game on Sunday.
Gennaro Gattuso, former World Cup winner was named coach of Fiorentina on Tuesday.
He failed to qualify the team for next season’s Champions League after playing out a 1-1 with Verona.
Fiorentina on the other hand did not renew the contract of their manager, Giuseppe Iachini.
Gattuso, was a famous Italian footballer who played a great part in the Italy team that won the 2006 World Cup.
After his retirement as a footballer, he had coached Sion, Palermo, OFI Crete, Pisa and AC Milan
