– Says the party would look into it in order to reach a decision soon
The newly appointed Chairman of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees, and former Senate President, Chief Adolphus Wabara has responded to fresh demand made by Governor Wike and his group which has worsened the crisis rocking the party.
Chief Wabara reaction was made known while speaking to journalists shortly after he paid a visit to Governor Ortom in Makurdi as part of reconciliation efforts. He stated that God is in control of the crisis rocking the party.
The PDP BOT Chairman acknowledged that the Wike’s group made a ‘very strong point’ and assured that the party would look into it in order to reach a decision soon.
His words: “Yes, they have very strong points, we will look at it as the conscience of the party and come out with a decision very soon. We will reach out to the groups. That is why we came here so that he (Ortom) will create the enabling environment for us to reach others.”
It will be recalled that the Wike’s group announced earlier today their decision to pull out of Atiku’s campaign council, pending the removal of Ayu as National Chairman of the PDP.
Informed observers have advised that Atiku and the Wike Camps should meet and resolved the crisis before it is too late.
